Fireworks night.
Summer has, clearly, finished. But, as we reach for the thermostat, grab our warmest socks and put away the patio furniture, there are a few things to look forward to. Not least at Precise, as we head into the busiest season of our year.
We’ll avoid using the ‘c’ word in this blog (we’re only in October, after all), but an event more readily on the horizon is fireworks night. On the 5th November, apart from getting colder, millions of people will be heading out to fields, local sports clubs and schools to watch thousands of pounds worth of explosives head into the air and erupt above their heads.
Fireworks nights are now huge events. Aside from the spectacular explosions themselves, a mini festival atmosphere can generally be found with people enjoying live music, hot food and other spectacles, such as outdoor projection effects.
On the 5th November the team at Precise will be dressing up as warm as possible and heading to Falkirk Community Trusts annual fireworks display. We’ve been supplying the production for this event for many years and we take pretty much everything with us. Fireworks night is one of those events where simply everything we offer, from PA to power distribution, is required.
Our sound system ensures everyone can hear the stage acts, bands and presenters we supply and our popular staging gives them a platform from which to entertain the 30,000 people expected to attend. The park also features a lovely listed building, onto which we project video and effects via our outdoor projectors.
It really is a huge event and with huge events comes big responsibility. Thankfully, Falkirk community trust take safety during fireworks night very seriously and the combination of their diligence, our robust risk assessment and method statements (not to mention the emergency PA which is there in case of an unlikely evacuation), means every attendee is in safe hands.
We can’t wait to get out there and we very much hope to see you on the night.
